I created this website after I found myself suddenly unemployed from my technical writing position. This site’s main purpose is to house my technical writing samples, but it’s also an excuse to mess around with a website. Anyway, it wasn’t long before I had applied to all of LinkedIn (hyperbole: I’m only applying to jobs for which I am qualified) and realized I needed to fill the void of usefulness, so I began to incorporate my own home/life projects. There’s a definite trend in what I consider fulfilling: creating.

I’ve divided up my sudden “free time” into errands and personal projects in the morning and job hunting in the afternoon. My first project was to re-purpose my dad’s old workbench into a birdbath for my backyard. Check out that process in my next post!
